Snow Day In Vegas
Today is 12-17-2008 and we have seen the worst snow storm in Vegas since we moved here in 1992. The roads were blanketed with snow and ice, making it extremely treacherous for my drive home from work. The News is even reporting that Schools may be closed tomorrow, as it will be unsafe to drive anywhere. Vegas is ill equipped to handle these type of conditions. All of the "snow" equipment used to plow roads is at Mt. Charleston. We sure could use it down here in the Vegas Valley. Here is a photo of the front of our house:

Wow, that is quite the "Blizzard" Vegas was hit with! I heard you got just enough snow to keep your beer cold on the picnic table...
I'd like to share with you a few pictures of me today attempting to make the snow we've been hit with "dispappear"! The headquarters - and my home - to Magicians.com is in the "Magic City" Minot, North Dakota... Normally lows around here during the winter are a couple degrees below zero. Well, this winter has been unusually frigid. Just this past week near -40 to -50 below with windchill! Today double-digits below zero with nasty wind... Enjoy these pics! Hahaha!

Besides being a Magician, I work full-time as a Mailman here in Las Vegas. Some very kind folks on my route took a picture of me during the snow storm. Regrettably, I had read the Surf report prior to work...so I was dressed for that occassion. lol! Take a look!
