- About Me:
- Tim Mannix is one of L.A.’s busiest variety arts entertainers specializing in family entertainment and corporate events. Originally from Oklahoma City, his interest in magic began at the age of eight when he received Marshall Brodien’s TV Magic Set for Christmas.
Tim spent much of his youth practicing and studying the ancient Art of magic, later becoming a demonstrator at a local magic shop, Hecklers Joke Shop. In high school a stint working as an onstage assistant to local magician, Marlowe, proved a fantastic training ground for live performance experience with several cross-country trips performing in theaters, fairs and festivals and a national magician’s convention in 1977.
In addition to being a frequent performer at Hollywood’s world famous Magic Castle, Mannix is also 3-term past President of Hollywood Ring #21 of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, a member of the Society of American Magicians, and the International Magicians Society.
Billed as a comedy illusionist, Tim's experience includes everything from adult performances and corporate gigs with his stand-up comedy magic act to tickling the funny bones of birthday party children all over Southern California. His show is rated “H” for hilarious and has been called the “best magic show for kids in Los Angeles!”
His celebrity clients have included Angelina Jolie, Hilary Swank, Roseanne Cash and Kate Jackson.
Tim Mannix three different educational theme show including his READERS ARE LEADERS magic show. See by thousands of elementary school kids throughout Southern California, it has become a hit with both students and educators alike.
As a regular instructor at private schools, year-after-year Tim’s magic classes have proven to be the most well attended sessions in after school enrichment programs.
Tim Mannix resides with three rabbits, 2 cats and his dog Zoe in West Hollywood, California.
