- Close-up (cards/coins/other), Easy to Learn (beginners / kits), Mentalism (mind reading / predictions), Parlor Magic (magic for audiences larger than close-up and smaller than audiences for stage magic), Stage Magic (large magic / illusions performed on stage for larger audiences) - famous magicians include David Copperfield / Lance Burton, Street Magic (magic typically performed close-up for random people on the street or other public place)

- Like most I was infected with the love of magic at an early age. My first memories where of my uncle performing. Later I began reading any book I could get. While I can still do a few basic things I haven't actually performed even for a friend in well over five years.

Thanks Vynn. I just did a 40th birthday party and decided to do my cut and restored rope as a close up item. I have never had such a strong reaction to that trick in 30 years ... one of the guests kept following me around to watch the rope trick.
