Close-up (cards/coins/other), Parlor Magic (magic for audiences larger than close-up and smaller than audiences for stage magic), Street Magic (magic typically performed close-up for random people on the street or other public place)

About Me:

I am a full time magician living in Boise, Idaho. As to whether or not I am a professional, I will leave that statement to my audiences. I have been practicing magic for over 40 years and performing magic for over 20 years. I mainly perform for private events, parties, trade shows and other corporate events. Occasionally you can see me at a public performance like a fair or some other community event. I have created several effects that are used by magicians around the world, including: P-PIK Prediction Cards, The Riverboat Shuffle, Kings Fool, and The Four Sided Coin. I am the current Vice-President of I.B.M. Ring 364, and the S.A.M. Deputy for the state of Idaho.

At 7:42pm on February 24, 2009, Sam Weiss said…: I personally am not a great fan of pull systems because I prefer sleight of hand but I found the Gecko to be quite interesting so I'd thought I'd try it. The truth is it is very hard to misdirect a camera since people can just rewind and watch for something they missed. If I was to set up a new gecko in between I would get all kinds of comments from people telling me they saw me do something. On the other hand if I did it in real life I could easily use misdirection like as Slydini taught "It's in the eyes" by calling attention to another object and then getting the second one. My point is the camera does not move with the eyes of the viewer so it is not 100% certain they will be misdirected. This is why I have separated each effect in this video... and also may I add everyone else in this contest did the same... not saying they're right of course.

To answer what you said, it is actually impossible to compile the effects together without editing due to the nature of the gecko gimmick's reset. Also my camera is built in to my computer so I can't move it to show my head. I perform this all the time for people live so it's not like I'm using the camera to my advantage.
