- Been at this for over thirty years. The last 8 years I have been doing primarily street magic and have developed a street show featuring mentalism and other odd stuff done with a humorous twist.

Sealar the Wizard said… - Thank you so much Jack for your constructive advice. It is good that you have mentioned that book as I am always reading more when I have an opportunity to do so in an effort to improve what I do.
Your comments have made one of my changes come to reality. I now tell a story as if reading from a children,s book and captivate them as part of my act. At certain parts of the story I bring in magic, and it works. I call it child's patter. It has been going much slower and I have made the increased attention observation. I decided to do this as I was observing the eyes of the children at the public library during a live reading program that his provided as a community service in my town. I intend to read the book that you have recommended and thank you again for your well received words of wisdom.
On another note the reason that I keep my crowd between the ages of four and eight is because the children between ten and fifteen seem to frequently attempt to destroy the magic for the younger ones. Do you have some ideas to share on that subject?

Thanks Vynn. I just did a 40th birthday party and decided to do my cut and restored rope as a close up item. I have never had such a strong reaction to that trick in 30 years ... one of the guests kept following me around to watch the rope trick.
