- About Me:
- My name is Gabriel Villamizar Gómez. I am a member of the School of the Magic Arts in Bogotá, Colombia, directed by the magician Richard Samiento. I teach magic to children in the French School (Liceo Francés) in Bogotá. My style is comic and elegant at the same time, since I am an adult who likes to play. Through magic I propose to exercise the muscle of amazement in a way that is both fun and playful.
- My dream in life is:
- In every presentation I try to offer lessons on the recovery of amazement, imagination and positive emotions. My magic is an art where I express illusion, curiosity and joy. I propose a different way to make magic, one that is sensitive and transcendental, one that is not limited to performances yet maintains human relevance. I propose a magic that helps shape values, reinforces curiosity and leads to a love of learning. This magic is for children, and also for adults, since it leads to improved relationships, increased joy and abundant energy.

Thanks Vynn. I just did a 40th birthday party and decided to do my cut and restored rope as a close up item. I have never had such a strong reaction to that trick in 30 years ... one of the guests kept following me around to watch the rope trick.

I have been in magic all off my adult life (from 15 years old) as a professional. Magic and Music are in the forfront of my entire life. I have had more than a modicm od success earing as much as $250,000.00 per year... that is until a little more than three years ago when I suffered 5 massive strokes in as many weeks. I'm happy to announce that is almost all behind me now and I am on the mend and ready to get back to work.
In the past I have done 1 1/2 to 2 hour stage full evening shows throughout the US, Canada, the UK and Scandinavia, for more than 5 years. I still enjoy doing showplace restaurants, family restaurants, comedy clubs and the like... doing close-up sit down, walk around, table hopping as well as street magic and "busking" etc. I've taught in magis shool settings, young magicians clubs and private "one on one".
Before this turns out th be a novel, I'll take my leave for now... and......
