I love my chop cup. If you like it look into "Shaker" It's a chop effect with a salt shaker and its good for street, walk around ,close up and you don't have to hide a lemon.

Hi guys. Got my chop cup in the mail yesterday, so this is actually the first time I'll do any serious cups and balls magic. I'm working on learning the basics then make a routine. Wish me luck ^^

I got a set of Indian cups and balls.
The directions were run off wrong and nothing in my library has anything about them. I don't have a clue on the technique to them.
Can someone put me on to a book or routine and where I could get it.

Watching Michael Ammar explaiin the "Vernon Wand Spin", I have noticed he seems to "throw in" a flourish spin at the end that he doesn't explain. This appears to be a counter-clockwise spin of one or two revolutions that rests only upon the top of the thumb.

If I am seeing this right, to looks really good but very risky, as nothing is actually holding the wand during the spin. Does anyone out there use this, and is it as riskiy as it looks?

Could be I am just seeing it wrong...

Hey, where is all the cups and balls action?!

I am pretty excited. Just got home a few weeks ago from a great convention at MagiFest. While I was there I met a guy who is trying to finance a trip to Britain for classes with some of the great buskers.

Now I have a fairly nice collection, but this guy had for sale a set of Andy Comic cups that he assured me have been on the streets of lots of cities around the country. And, they looked it! Patina to perfection, dents and scratches in all the right places, totally the opposite of my rather pristine AC's. I couldn't resist, plus I had to help this guy fulfill his dream!

Would you think a guy could get this excited about a heavily used, knocked about set of cups??? Am I lost? Is there hope?

Everybody listen up to the wisdom of Bill Palmer. He's a great magician, historian and has a fantastic museum on Cups & Balls. You can tell he is devoted when he wears a Chop Cup on the top of his head. Welcome Bill!

Until we appear again,

Thanks for the invitation. I don't know any cups and balls tricks yet (I'm working on the classic one) though I hope to learn so coming in contact with other more knowlagble magicians will be of great help.
