Need Ring and Chain Trick Help
I recently bought a trick that has a very poor pictoral insructions with it... As I cannot tell by the instructions how to do the trick, I was hoping that someone out there in the virtual world can help me. The trick consists of a chain of about 24" in circumference and a 3inch ring. I'm assuming that the jist of the trick is to have the ring come on/off the chain, but the instructions (which only has four hand-drawn pictures) does not make it clear. It looks like a great pocket trick to take around with you if I can figure it out. Can anybody help me???

The idea of the trick is to have the chain magically tie itself around the ring. Drape the chain over your wrist and let the other end hang down. At the bottom end of the chain, you raise the ring up around the chain (the chain should now be inside the ring). You demonstrate that if you let the ring go, it would simply fall to the ground. Then you do it again, but this time the ring is magically tied to the chain. That is how the effect should look.
I can't verify that in fact you bought the trick, so I can't really expose the secret move. But with the above description of how the effect should work, you should now be able to go back to your instructions and figure out the secret move.
Plus, by posting the secret move here, we would be exposing it to anyone else who wanted to read this post. Sorry, I can't expose it.
