Hello Martini,

I'm curious about your post 'Money Makers and Street Magic'... Are you referring to several performances that have earned you money on the street? I have this picture in my head of a magician on a unicycle, in a straight jacket, somehow performing cups and balls... now that would be a moneymaker! :-)

The three items listed are effects that make street performers a lot of money.
It is often said it is not what you do, but how you do it .... There is a lot of
truth in that statement, but when it comes to street and other venues, if you
choose the right effects, you'll find that it is a lot easier to be successful.

how about a pickpocket straightjacket.. pickpocket them b4 u put on the straightjacket. and after the escape.. your clothes are different than what u started with.

Watch steals can be great but can also lead to problems,
because on the street they don't trust you. On the other
hand, some magicians know how to make them work.

I never dare to do Pickpocketing on the streets, it's way too risky. I'd rather keep it for my stage and close-up shows, where people are already aware of a Magician walking arround.

20th century silks. (I have a comedy routine I do with it)
Hopping halves.
Balloon animals.
Mouth coils.
Paddle stuff.
3-d sponge bunnies. It is really on your skill of gathering a crowd and keeping them there. There is so much good stuff out there it is hard to pick. Especially since there is more crappy stuff than good.
